  • DR LYNSAY CRAWFORD

    MBChb MMEd FRCGP DRCOG DFSRH MAcadMEd

    Qualified from Glasgow University in 1991 and was a GP in Glasgow for 20 years prior to moving to Forth Valley. She has a special interest in women's health, mental health and medical education. The rest of the week she is employed as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow Medical School where she teaches medical students how to become doctors.

    MBCHB, MRCGP, DTMH Tropical medicine and hygiene (Liverpool school of Tropical medicine 2021)

    Works 2 days a week in the practice on Wednesdays and Fridays. She works in the urgent care centre at Forth Valley. Special interests include acute medicine and planetary health.

Nurses

Our Practice Nurses are highly skilled and experienced nurses. The Practice Nurses run clinics in asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension (blood pressure), heart disease, they also provide well person checks and cervical screening (smears).

    Available for appointments Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Kirsteen is trained in the following in COPD, diabetes, hypertension (blood pressure), heart disease and cervical screening (smears).

  • ANDREA DAVIDSON

    Practice Nurse

    Available by appointment Tuesday and Wednesday. Andrea is an experienced nurse, and is qualified Nurse Independent Prescriber. The Practice Nurses run clinics in asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension (blood pressure), heart disease and cervical screening (smears).

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims and dealing with patient records.

Community Nurses

Our District Nurses provide nursing care to people at home who are frail, ill or just out of hospital. The attached Treatment Room Nurse is available by appointment for dressings, injections etc. You can contact them by telephone 01324 815105.

Attached Staff

Forth Valley Health Board provide services within the Practice as follows: Physiotherapy, Mental Health Nurse, ANP, Pharmacy Team, Phlebotomy. Appointments can be made for these services by calling Practice reception on 01324 812315

Community Midwives

The Midwifery Team looks after expectant mothers at home and in our antenatal clinics and also care for mother and baby when they return home after delivery. Contact them by telephone at Forth Valley Royal Hospital on 01324 566000.

Health Visitors

The health visitors’ role includes health education and health surveillance and care of the under fives. The health visitors are based at Carronbank Health Centre and can be contacted on 01324
